A brilliant local produced song with the simplest backdrop, nothing fancy but the most nature body swinging, a song sung by a group of local artistes from their heart.
HERE IN MY HOME
Yes I feel it in my bones, so I will let it be known
No matter where I roam this is home sweet home
This cannot be any true for me
It explained why I am backed to Malaysia from UK
and even when I am about to leave for another short adventure
I definitely come back again
because
HERE IN MY HOME.
It all started with a preview of “Music & Lyrics” on Astro
Then a RM100 Borders voucher that urge me to visit Borders
Then the discover of “Music & Lyrics” on the VCD rack
Then I bought it and came across this song “Way Back Into LOVE”
I do feel that it is not simply coincidence, it happened with a purpose to remind me of what I should do
Another song that represent a stage of my life that I am going through
Presenting the Drew Barrymore with Hugh Grant version.
[Verse 1]
(Drew Barrymore)
I’ve been living with a shadow overhead,
I’ve been sleeping with a cloud above my bed,
I’ve been lonely for so long,
Trapped in the past,
I just can’t seem to move on!
(Hugh Grant)
I’ve been hiding all my hopes and dreams away,
Just in case I ever need them again someday,
I’ve been setting aside time,
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind!
[Chorus]
(Both)
All I want to do is find a way back into love.
I can’t make it through without a way back into love.
Oooooh.
[Verse 2]
(Drew Barrymore)
I’ve been watching but the stars refuse to shine,
I’ve been searching but i just don’t see the signs,
I know that it’s out there,
There’s got to be something for my soul somewhere!
(Hugh Grant)
I’ve been looking for someone to shed some light,
Not somebody just to get me through the night,
I could use some direction,
And I’m open to your suggestions.
[Chorus]
(Both)
All I want to do is find a way back into love.
I can’t make it through without a way back into love.
And if I open my heart again,
I guess I’m hoping you’ll be there for me in the end!
Oooooooh, Ooooooh, Ooooooh.
[Middle-eight]
(Drew Barrymore)
There are moments when I don’t know if it’s real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation
[Chorus]
(Both)
All I want to do is find a way back into love,
I can’t make it through without a way back into love,
And if I open my heart to you,
I’m hoping you’ll show me what to do,
And if you help me to start again,
You know that I’ll be there for you in the end!
Oooooooh. Oooooooh. Ooooooooh. Oooooooh. Ooooooh Ooooooooh. Ooooooooh.
I booked the ticket one month ago, this a show that I anticipated so much. Before the actual day, I heard many comments about it, good and bad…but it never reduces my excitement and expectation for the day to come.
The show turned out to be really great for me, the casts, the backdrops, the props, the music. What impressed me is the scene where Raoul and Christine are confessing their love to each other on the roof top singing in duet “All I ask of you”. It feels like you are right at the roof top with them, under the dazzling star night in the Paris city, being touched by their singing till you say a soft sigh owh~~~~~.
All and all, it’s definitely a fantastic show with great music. The only thing to fuss about will be the main actress may be a bit too matured looking to take up the Christine role, if to be cruel. Anyhow, so far, it is the only one show that I will definitely watch it for another time, and may be another time…
I am not talking about myself. It’s a Movie directed and produced by Chai Ming Liang, one of those nominated International movie. Almost got banned by the Film Negara, this movie evolves on the topic of some reality in Malaysia such as the foreigner labour in the city, and the haze problem. Most of all, it talks about relationships and variation of loves.
The whole movie doesn’t have more than 20 lines of dialogue, thus it required quite an fair amount of analysis and thoughts on the actors expression, the background setting, and even just the music.
I don’t think I understand all of it, but I do like most of the musics in the movie especially those vocal part.
Another brownies to add is Director Chai, and one of the main actress were actually there to thanks the audience.
